    • Soak & Pre-sprout (Recommended): Soak corms in room-temperature water for 3–4 hours. Pre-sprout in a tray of moist vermiculite or soil for 1–2 weeks in a cool, dark place until rootlets form.

    • Planting Depth & Spacing: Plant corms “claw side down” about 2 inches deep and 6–8 inches apart.

    • Sunlight: Choose a full sun location for best blooms.

    • Watering: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy. Overwatering may cause rot.

    • Fertilizing: Apply a balanced flower fertilizer every 2–3 weeks during active growth.

    • Support: Tall stems may benefit from netting or staking to prevent bending in wind.

    • Bloom Time: Late winter to spring, depending on planting schedule.

    • After Bloom Care: In warm climates, treat as an annual. In cooler areas, lift and store corms in a cool, dry place for replanting the following season.
